Marshall JCM900 Head

Produced during the 1990's, the JCM 900 Mark IV SL-X (Super Lead X-tended) amp was an evolutionary link in the Marshall Master Volume series. By adding an extra ECC 83 (12AX7A) valve, Marshall engineers created a gain-drenched front end that combined twin gain controls, from 0-10, and another that went all the way to 20! This was the amp that KISS used on their world tours during the period. Ace Frehley and Paul Stanley could afford any amplifier, but they found only one with the sound they needed to fill arenas with the power of their raw, blistering rock 'n roll: the SL-X!

The AVT100 is a 100 watt, 3 channel 1x12" combo with Marshall's DFX. The AVT100's three channels have been voiced to give the broadest range of sounds possible. The Clean channel will take you from the cleanest clean to a natural, valve-induced crunch and anywhere in between. A Bright Switch enhances high-end cut at low Gain settings. Overdrive 1 takes you from the dynamic raunch of a 1959 Plexi to the larger-than-life crunch of a cranked JCM800. It also has a Scoop Switch which reconfigures the EQ to give you that classic, thrash sound of the 80's. Overdrive 2 goes from primal angst of a hot-rodded JCM800 to the most extreme gain ever found in a Marshall. The Scoop switch on this channel produces the brutal, bone-crushing slam of modern (Nu) Metal. If this is not enough, the AVT100 boasts 16 adjustable, custom-voiced DFX. Other features include Headphone jack, Speaker Emulated Line Out and an Effects Loop with level and mix control.

The AVT275 Stereo Combo is Marshall’s top-of-the-line AVT amplifier. The AVT275 is a 2 x 75 Watt, 2 x 12" Combo featuring two independent DFX sections and 4 channels (Acoustic Emulation, Clean, OD1, and OD2). Overdrive 1 sounds range from a vintage sounding Plexi all the way to the JCM800 crunch. Overdrive 2 goes from a hot-rodded JCM800 all the way to a JCM2000. The Clean channel runs through the preamp valve and has a separate Bright switch plus controls for Bass, Middle & Treble. The Acoustic Emulation Channel features a Body Switch that enables the body resonance to change from a regular size acoustic to a Jumbo acoustic. Separate Gain & Volume controls as well as individual scoop controls (for thrash to crushing metal) are provided for the OD1 & OD2 channels. Additional features include: Master Volume & Master Presence controls, Parallel/Stereo FX loop, Emulated DI & Headphone output and a heavy-duty 6-way LED footswitch.
